Job Description

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring Program Management. The Program Management is accountable for strategic planning and goal setting, project execution and governance for the commercial project portfolio. This role is responsible for managing several large-scale commercial projects concurrently, while also managing a staff which is leading and/or supporting projects.

The Program Manager is responsible for creating the governance structure to report on program health and to deliver executive summary updates. Position is responsible for providing motivation; leadership and direction to the KCM site teams, ensuring all assigned customers' projects and programs are managed effectively and delivered according to Catalent and customer expectations. This is inclusive of project documentation, project prioritization and portfolio alignment, cross functional resource identification, and process improvement and standards development.

The Program Manager is accountable for leading internal cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects within the program from initiation to close out, ensuring teams are following established policies and procedures in the delivery to agreed scope, customer expectations and mutually agreed goals and objectives of Catalent and the customer.

The Program Manager may manage a group of project managers/coordinators, as well as other members of the team, to ensure co-ordination and management of projects from award state to completion. Ensuring correct set up, planning, monitoring and execution are effectively managed and executed on time. Where under the supervision of an Associate Director/Director, will be delegated Director level tasks where appropriate and trained to do so.

This is a full-time role position: Monday - Friday, Days.

Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.

The Role

  • Accountable for ensuring the financial elements of all projects, including contract review, financial milestone management, budget tracking and oversight are adhered to and will support invoice query resolution and aged debt activities. Ensure team supports and delivers supply forecasts and any relevant information to drive S&OP and client management.
  • Builds relationships with customers and internal resource groups to facilitate effective communication and collaborative working practices. Responsible for developing and implementing dashboards and/or other communication tools to be leveraged at all levels of the organization.
  • Act as the customer advocate and ensure comprehensive and seamless, "One Catalent" approach to customers.
  • The Program Manager is responsible for leading the on-site visits from client and ensuring that the proper SME's from Catalent are attending the on-site visits. Work closely with the site General Manager for client success. Work with internal and external parties to lead any remediation activities with any customer experiencing difficulties or challenges. Develop a deep understanding and expertise of customer specific practices and tools to ensure Catalent alignment.
  • Lead the definition and creation of customer and program specific templates and processes to manage and monitor the effective communication, risk assessment and execution of agreed scope for the Program(s).
  • Lead the identification, development, implementation, and control of Continuous Improvement activities required by the Program.
  • Establish framework, define standards and agree performance review mechanisms for all projects within assigned programs.
  • Escalate roadblocks and opportunities for improvement in Customer practices and processes to Catalent and customer management in pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 2+ years related work experience with Commercial Manufacturing/Packaging pharmaceuticals is required.
  • 1+ years of prior supervisory or relevant management experience required.
  • Prior experience reporting KPIs required
  • Professional Project Management Qualification preferred
  • Good knowledge of drug development process and GCP requirements in clinical development and Thorough knowledge of GMP is highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external customers, peers and managers.
  • Well organized with ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds;
