Program Manager

The Friendship Foundation (FF) is looking for a highly energetic, motivated and compassionate individual who likes to work with and interact with children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We are looking for someone who can instill structure and discipline while creating a fun, comfortable and engaging environment for students and young adults with special needs and for volunteers. In addition, the individual will be required to manage, coordinate and execute events for the organization. Responsibilities are but not limited to the following specifications, working in partnership with other FF staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
• Assist Program Development Director to facilitate the development, implementation and execution of social-recreational programs and services offered by the foundation
• Conduct volunteer trainings
• Promote programs and Friendship Foundation through social media
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with community organizations, parents, students, and volunteers
• Create program and social media marketing materials associated with the programs and using Constant Contact and Canva
• Manage PT Recreational Leaders associated with programs
• Track program related expenditures and budgets
• Assist the Friendship Foundation team with the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk
• Assist the Friendship Foundation team as necessary with general tasks
• Foster good relationships with education foundations and school administrators
Minimum Qualifications:
• Able to relate to children, teens and young adults that are neurotypical and with special needs
• Experience managing social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc
• Clear and effective spoken and written communication skills
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills required and proficient in Google Suite applications
• Strong time-management skills and excellent problem-solving ability
• Must have strong ethical judgment and demonstrate good decision-making skills
• Ability to pass TB test and obtain fingerprint (Live Scan) clearance
• Must have reliable transportation to and from office and program locations, with a valid CA driver's license, auto insurance, and valid DMV registration
• Must have ability to walk, stand, push a wheelchair and be active in all varieties of weather
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25lbs
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field
Required education: Bachelor's Degree
Job Type: Full-time, non-remote (Programs run Monday through Friday with the occasional Sunday event and evening hours)
