Job Description
The Center for New York City Affairs is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate our migrant families initiative. This role will oversee the development of resource guides and delivery of in-person and virtual workshops and personalized assistance to inform families about the NYC public school system, enrollment procedures, available support services, 3K/PK/middle/high school admissions, locating childcare options, and rights of English learners. Serving the largest school district in the country, our education team is committed to helping improve the quality of New York City schools for all families, especially communities in poverty and of color. For two decades our InsideSchools website has been a trusted resource for caregivers and students seeking information about NYC’s 1,800 public schools. Each year more than 1 million users visit our site and in the coming year we will redesign our website and develop new content to support families throughout their K-12 educational experience. In addition, the education team offers policy analysis, reports, and public commentary to inform system change and school improvement.
This is a grant-funded position. It would begin immediately and go through June, 2027 with an opportunity for an extension contingent upon funding and performance.
