People First in GriffinLocal Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of three intensivists at WellStar Spalding Medical Center.
- Work alongside our teams comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds with a shared dedication to the practice of critical care medicine.
Qualifications:
- A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution and successful completion of a fellowship in critical care medicine is necessary.
- Board certified/eligible in critical care medicine is required.
- At least five years of experience leading a team of intensivists is required.
- An active medical license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain one is necessary.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Flexible Scheduling:
- We offer an array of flexible scheduling options, which includes one intensivist during the day and tele-ICU coverage at night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients in an ICU within a 160-bed community hospital that includes a primary stroke center.
- Lead multidisciplinary rounds with active team participation.
- Demonstrate robust leadership over a high-performing team of Intensivists.
- Support Internal Medicine residents who will rotate in the ICU as part of the hospital’s GME program.
- Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Participate in and encourage other team members to participate actively in committees and become part of the larger hospital team.
