Job Description
The Amlon Groupis a global environmental services company focused on recycling, processing, treatment, and management of metal-bearing industrial waste streams.
We are looking for anexperienced Project Analystwith strong familiarity in job cost accounting to support both day-to-day operations and recent acquisitions. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate project records, including freight and processing invoices, customer settlements, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating with sales and operational teams while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
• Manage customer settlement accounts and maintain complete project records, including freight, processing invoices, and final settlements.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable by assigned project.
• Post transactions to the general ledger and maintain accuracy across projects.
• Handle daily, weekly, and monthly settlement processes.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Produce accurate financial reports by consolidating data from CRM and ERP systems.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and follow up on deliverables.
• Develop, document, and improve business processes, accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Assist team members with assignments and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
• Complete ad hoc assignments within tight deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in project accounting with a focus on job cost accounting.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Nested IFs).
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
