Project Coordinator, Architectural Millwork (Full-Time 1099)

Project Coordinator, Custom Architectural Millwork This role will be a full-time independent contractor position (1099), primarily based in Las Vegas, NV. 1099 Contractor status requires Business License and proof of Business Liability Insurance ($2M) Provincial Store Fixtures’ Project Coordinators are key to holding projects together — from executing our project plan, administering industry and company standards, to assisting the manufacturing teams with specific details from our complex architectural millwork projects; ensuring they run smoothly from award to close out. Responsibilities • Partner with Project Managers to plan, coordinate, and execute project tasks through to completion. • Maintain and monitor project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget. • Review and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings to support fabrication — flagging and escalating any discrepancies. • Manage material requests, samples, and approvals to keep manufacturing on track. • Liaise daily with manufacturing, engineering, and operational teams to ensure seamless handoffs and clear communication. • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and work with the team to implement solutions before they escalate. • Keep meticulous project documentation — including schedules, reports, resources, and budget tracking. • Support the project team with administrative tasks, data entry, and document control. Knowledge and Skills • 2+ years in project coordination in architectural millwork or woodworking. • Post-secondary education in project management, architecture, engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on industry experience. • Drafting/CAD programming experience in a millwork or woodworking environment is an asset. • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to spot and resolve issues before they become roadblocks. • Comfort with industry standards and terminology (LEED, AWI/AWMAC, OBC). • Organizational mastery— the ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. • Technical know-how— solid experience reading and interpreting architectural plans, drawings, and specifications. • Industry awareness— familiarity with architectural millwork, commercial construction, and manufacturing workflows. • Material knowledge— understanding of veneers, cores, solid wood, and an awareness of glass, steel, stone, and fabric integration. • Communication skills— confident working with clients, vendors, and internal teams to keep everyone aligned.
