This role will reside at our Philadelphia, PA site. This is a first shift position.

This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent's global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project needs. Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID™ safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID™ safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.

The Role
- Prepare requests for quotation based on User Requirements Specifications (URS) for multiple bidders for facility & equipment products. Review bids and recommend vendor(s) for selection for equipment projects
- Work with operations, process development and quality functions to provide support for the design, installation, start-up, validation and operation of facility and or process equipment
- Stay current on existing technology by meeting with vendors and manufacturers in order to evaluate new equipment and procedures
- Define, describe, evaluate, and effectively communicate facility & equipment requirements to both technical experts and non-technical audiences
- Will assist in synchronizing site functions through all phases of continuous improvement projects including new assets
- Effectively manages contractors. Ensures adherence to safe work practices and guidelines
- Ensures compliance to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements is maintained throughout the product for area of responsibility
- Responsible for the administration, implementation, and project management of assigned projects, including conformance with equipment and systems performance criteria
The Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field or comparable experience preferred
- Development, manufacturing or packaging for clinical/commercial drug products or combination products in a cGMP controlled environment, preferred
- Knowledge of change control and validation, preferred, including experience with equipment FAT, Commissioning, IQ, OQ, PQ and development of qualification protocols/reports for packaging and shipping activities
- Knowledge regarding design control, documentation, risk management and processes such as FMEA, Design Verification and URS is a plus
- GMP facility construction experience is a plus.
- Blend knowledge and analysis with logic, active listening, and a continuing interest in simplification
