Project Engineer

In this job, you are the product manager ensuring the assising in the rapid lifecycle of an engineering product from prototype to fielded product.

Essential Functions:

• Interface between Project Management, Design, and Production team
• Develops, implements, and manages AS9100 processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
• Develop and document system and subsystem-level requirements
• Define system and subsystem interfaces
• Work with vendors and design engineers to ensure a total technical solution is within scope and being delivered to the customer.
• Translate requirements across a multi-disciplinary team
• Work with teammates and vendors on requirements and interfaces
• Support the full life cycle of systems development and sustainment from concept to retirement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

• Bachelor of Science in any of the following fields: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience with aircraft, unmanned systems, and/or other complex electromechanical system development.
• Experience in:
• Developing and tailoring System Engineering processes based on program cost, schedule, and risk tolerance
• Developing requirements traceability verification matrix (RVTM) and supporting the verification analysis and testing.
• Supporting CONOPS development
• Using System Engineering tools to document and manage project requirements
• Ability to travel 10-25%

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

• Master's Degree is a plus
• Experience in the following areas is a plus:
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• System and subsystem testing
• Flight testing
• RC Aircraft or UAS
• Must be a team player and collaborate effectively
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to excel in a fast-paced, mission first, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
• Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meeting project/company objectives.
• Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written; and ability to read and understand technical requirements documents
• Detail oriented and capable with working in a team environment
• Hold current Secret clearance and the ability obtain TS/SCI within 6 months

Job may require travel throughout the year to CONUS and OCONUS locations
