Position Summary
As a Project Engineering Manager focused on automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), you will manage concept, scope, cost, resources, and prioritization of all facets of complex capital projects. You will maintain visibility to the design process and ensure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables. Coordinating with the corporate project teams, factory engineering teams and external vendors, you will determine site needs and manage the front end of warehouse automation projects from business case to supplier selection and approval for construction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of pre-project approval documents including project charter, project management plan, project kick start, estimate and milestone schedule creation
- Review design details with full understanding of project deliverables to coordinate bid package development
- Select vendors and contractors in accordance with company standards, guidelines and strategic plans
- Manage adherence to project milestones and scope and secure approvals for all change orders based on engineering ways of working methodology
- Control the project budget including cost forecasts, cash flow projections and regular reporting
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and provide technical expertise to ensure successful project execution
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 7+ years' experience in an engineering, project management, warehouse automation or technical role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
- OR -
- Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field and 10+ years' experience in an engineering, project management, warehouse automation or technical role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
OTHER
- Must be willing to travel approximately 30% to meet project demands
