Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, planning, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects according to strict deadlines and within budget while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and contractors or consultants of multiple disciplines in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also participate in defining the projects' objectives and oversee the quality of the projects throughout the life cycle.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluate resource needs for projects in support of all new products and cost reduction initiatives, obtaining consensus on due dates with all functional champions.
- Creates and executes project work plans and timelines and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Monitors the teams' abilities to meet all project targets, including program costs, customer requirements, and risks.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) and scope.
- Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Reviews deliverables prepared by the team, identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. Escalates issues of work product or team member behaviors to the Senior Project Manager as appropriate and promptly.
- Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project(s).
- Effectively applies our practices, complies, with practices, and enforces project and product standards.
- Prepares for and presents project and quality reviews. Delivers engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
- Effectively facilitates regular team meetings and presents reports verbally, in writing, and in presentations to keep all stakeholders informed of project progress, problems and solutions.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Participates in analysis of project profitability, revenue, and margins as required.
- Conducts project post-mortems and reports on recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
- Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned areas. Responsible for the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
- Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned areas.
- Work safely and without injury.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Three to five years of successful project management in a technical organization with proven experience in managing a team to tight, strict timelines.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
- Experience in the automotive industry or experience with products similar to those manufactured at Warn Industries is preferred.
- Strong, proven experience working in cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, and validation tests is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management with similar products/processes.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills & resourcefulness.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Must have a history of impeccable integrity, ethics and fair play.
Availability Requirements:
While this position can work remotely from a home office most of the time, the person selected for this position should be available to come onsite as needed for meetings, presentations, testing, etc.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English.
Mathematical Skills:
Must have mathematical skills equivalent to those required under degree requirements.
Physical and Visual Activities:
Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Acuity-Far, Acuity-Near, Depth Perception, and Field of Vision.
Physical Demands:
May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:
Must be able to work in an office environment as well as a shop environment as job duties require. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software:
Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. May minimally operate basic hand tools.
