REPORTS TO: General Manager
THE POSITION
The Project Manager is accountable for multiple, diverse, complex projects or programs. The role is responsible for managing the execution of strategic and tactical projects pertaining to the design, planning, testing, implementation, maintenance, and integration of highly complex initiatives in a rapidly growing Dome Manufacturing Environment. They will be directly responsible for using project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Manage the relationship with clients and relevant stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
- Create, submit, and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Track budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other relevant stakeholders
- Provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, Shipping, Accounting, Payroll, and Installation to help plan the scheduling of resources and priorities
- Assist in managing domestic and international logistics and coordination - including but not limited to site labor, scaffolding, equipment, and shipping
- Assist in managing domestic and international installation schedules and assignment of installation crews/supervisors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate is a creative individual with rigorous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects. We are looking for versatile candidates who can demonstrate their ability to solve challenging problems and is willing to garner a deep understanding of business processes.
Qualifications:
- Seeking 7+ years of experience in project management; experience with international projects a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Relevant experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Start-up DNA: Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work, and test new approaches. Able to prioritize deftly. Comfortable with ambiguity – unhindered by change and uncertainty and can methodically work through complex problems
- A proven ability to adapt to changing schedules and see projects through the entire life cycle
- Eager to collaborate with team members to solve challenging problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, or relevant business equivalent
- Experience in the manufacturing and assembly of prefabricated structures preferred
Working Conditions
Standard Office environment.
The job may require:
- Ability to travel ~25%
- that employee be on their feet several (6-8) hours per day
- working at heights with proper PPE
- handling and operating complex equipment
- working in environments which are not climate controlled
- lifting of 20-30 lbs.
