Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Site Development team in Austin. This senior-level role involves managing all aspects of civil site development projects while serving as the primary client contact. The Project Manager will provide leadership in project execution, ensure technical excellence, and foster strong client relationships. Responsibilities • Lead all phases of land development projects from planning through completion. • Oversee project budgets, schedules, staff assignments, and deliverables. • Provide technical oversight, including design review and quality control for stormwater, grading, drainage, and utility projects. • Act as the primary client advocate, ensuring satisfaction and managing communications throughout the project lifecycle. • Attend meetings with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies; represent Mahoney Engineering with professionalism and expertise. • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, responding to RFPs, and participating in pursuit planning and client meetings. • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional development and technical growth. • Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D for design oversight, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project delivery. Required Qualifications • B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited). • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas. • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on site/land development. • Proven ability to manage projects, teams, budgets, and client relationships. • Advanced technical knowledge in stormwater management, detention pond design, utilities, grading, and site planning. • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and related design software. • Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of mentoring junior staff. • Prior experience working with private developers, municipalities, and agencies in Central Texas.
