DETAILED JOB DUTIES & SCOPE:
β’ Maintain strong relationships with General Contractors / Customers, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.
β’ Provide timely feedback to the schedule, areas of improvement and identify issues in collaboration with site superintendent.
β’ Candidates must adhere to strict local and OSHA safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely.
β’ Plan and monitor the best allocation of resources within a defined budget to meet project expectations.
β’ Help prepare and maintain a detailed day-to-day and 2-Week look ahead schedule.
β’ Directly coordinate and assign work to field Superintendent working in different crafts, department, and contractors
β’ Assists in development and maintains the construction schedule throughout the project from inception to closeout.
β’ Monitors work progress, pricing, and scheduling reports.
β’ Maintain and monitor project labor, materials, inspections, reports, and equipment as work progresses & costs.
β’ Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
β’ Coordinate with all required parties involved in the project and assure compliance with safety rules, quality, and security requirements to maximize production and eliminate down time.
β’ Possess strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
β’ Assist in setting project goals and evaluating performance against schedule, budget, quality goals.
β’ Manage meetings and correspondence with customers by email or phone.
β’ Maintain accurate records of daily production reports, photos, change orders, and supporting documents.
β’ Develop and build strong teams for each project while delivering quality output, meeting customer expectations, managing to scope, delivering on time, and delivering within budget.
β’ Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
β’ Develop and lead project management technical and schedule goals, procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning.
β’ Evaluate and continually improve the systems and processes used by the department to effectively meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
β’ Manage, mentor, and develop a group of approximately 3 direct and 10 total reports.
β’ Review the overall contractual requirements for all projects and specific process design methodology for individual projects as required.
β’ Ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects. Readily adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements.
β’ Interact with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during and after project completion.
β’ Provide oversight for third-party construction firms.
β’ Manage project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting.
β’ Ensure high-quality engineering, studies, and Helix project delivery.
β’ Proactively and systematically communicate challenges, risks and successes.
β’ Oversee invoice per project terms and negotiate appropriate change orders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ PM- Underground Utilities experience, Water, Sewer, Storm Drain etc. Electrical, Street Lighting, Traffic Signals.
β’ Exceptional analytical, motivational, and leadership skills a must.
β’ Mandatory- Computer skills, excel, Microsoft word etc.
β’ Valid Driverβs License
β’ Be willing to work 40hrs min and 50-55 hrs if needed per week.
β’ At least 5 years of project management experience in Heavy Civil
β’ Understand electrical plans and power preferred.
β’ Field experience coordinating with construction management.
β’ Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
β’ Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
β’ Demonstrated ability to run a profitable projects.
β’ Extraordinary initiative, execution, and communication skills, both oral and written.
β’ Salary is based on experience, and negotiable.
