This is not your average volume builder. This is a firm where every detail matters. With a tight focus on ground-up multifamily developments inside Chicago city limits (projects ranging up to $6M in hard costs), they deliver housing that is original, functional, and built to last down to the millwork.
Were looking for a Project Manager who sees construction as both a craft and a calling. Someone whos been in the trenches of multifamily ground-up work for 3+ years, who knows AutoCAD and Buildertrend inside and out, and who thrives in the art of getting things done from preconstruction to punch-out.
Responsibilities
• Own all aspects ofproject delivery: estimating, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and client communication
• Collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure jobsite excellence
• Handle bid analysis, RFIs, submittals, change orders, shop drawings, and punch lists
• Leadpreconstruction effortsand communicate with vendors and purchasing to ensure material accuracy and budget alignment
• Track quantities, manage resources, and maintain momentum throughout all project phases
• Maintain consistent, professional client communication and represent the firm with integrity
• Use tools likeAutoCAD and Buildertrend
• Deliver consistent results on mixed-income and market-rate housing, and maintain high expectations regardless of scope
Qualifications
• A hands-on problem solver who can lead with confidence and resolve issues proactively
• 3+ years of experience in ground-up multifamily construction required
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Buildertrend
• Deep familiarity with RFIs, submittals, draw processes, and vendor coordination
• Able to interpret drawings, manage subcontractors, and guide the entire construction life cycle
• Calm under pressure, organized, and committed to precision and performance
• Comfortable managing both client-facing relationships and internal communication with field staff
• Passionate about design, detail, and building something youre proud of
Compensation & Growth
• $65,000$75,000 annual salary, depending on experience
