Project Manager – Administration Organization: Western States Regional Council of Carpenters Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience) Benefits: Comprehensive Benefit Package About the Role The Western States Regional Council of Carpenters is seeking a detail-oriented and systems-driven Project Manager to support departments under the Director of Administration. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, this role will lead and coordinate projects across administrative departments such as Human Resources and Information Technology, while also owning the Council’s primary project management platform to manage workflow automation and cross-departmental process improvements. In addition to supporting KPIs and initiatives specific to administrative operations, this role will also provide logistical and operational support to the Project Manager – Special Projects & Events for organizational events such as quarterly Delegate Meetings. This position requires a strong grasp of administrative systems, compliance oversight, training coordination, and internal communication management. Key Responsibilities • Lead and support administrative initiatives aligned with Director of Administration KPIs, including training, policy updates, staffing approvals, and operational response. • Serve as the primary administrator for the Council’s project management system (e.g., Smartsheet or Monday.com), leading system adoption, workflow design, and automation. • Coordinate initiatives between HR, IT, and other administrative departments to address critical employment issues, policy rollouts, and operational challenges. • Track and report on KPIs such as staff education and compliance, training delivery, budget monitoring, Salt Report oversight, and internal interruptions. • Collaborate with the Project Manager – Special Projects & Events to help plan and execute internal organizational events and meetings. • Manage documentation, scheduling, and interdepartmental communications to ensure clarity, alignment, and project accountability. • Monitor project timelines, escalate roadblocks, and ensure that departmental deliverables align with organizational strategy and policy compliance. • Other Departments & Projects: This role will be expected to assist and/or be assigned to other projects outside the general scope of Administration. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field. • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or administrative operations in medium to large organizations. • Experience supporting HR and IT teams with initiatives related to compliance, staffing, and workflow enhancement. • Strong proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet or Monday.com, including the ability to lead automation and workflow development. • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills. • Familiarity with organizational training programs, compliance frameworks, and internal audit processes. • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification is desirable but not required.
