We are seeking aProject Manager IIto independently lead complex ecological restoration projects across planning, permitting, field execution, and delivery. If you're experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams, working with contractors, and driving technical projects with minimal supervision—this is your chance to make a real, tangible impact on the environment.
You'll work out of ourHouston, TX office, collaborating closely with internal scientists, engineers, construction teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractors. You can expect to travelup to 25–50% of the time, particularly during project kickoffs, field execution phases, and regulatory milestones.

A Day in the Life
As a Project Manager II at RES, your days will involve leading restoration projects through every phase—from opportunity development to construction close-out. You'll develop project schedules, build and manage budgets, lead cross-functional team meetings, and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll work independently to resolve project challenges, mitigate risks, and keep stakeholders informed. Using RES's Best Management Practices (BMPs)—including Opportunity Charters, Risk Registers, and Project Plans—you'll track performance and drive results.
In the field, you might be coordinating subcontractors, inspecting active sites, or conducting team check-ins. At your desk, you'll review technical documents, prepare financial reports, and communicate updates with clients and regulators. Every day, you'll have the opportunity to lead meaningful work that restores critical ecosystems.
We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:
• ABachelor's degreein applied sciences, environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field—or equivalent experience
• At least6 years of experiencein engineering, construction, or environmental project work
• 3+ years of direct project management experience, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
• Proficiency withproject management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent
• Knowledge ofenvironmental permitting and compliance
• Experience managingsubcontractors, consultants, and vendors
• Ability to lead complex projects independently, with limited supervision
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
• Comfort working infield settings, construction zones, and regulatory environmentsWhat Will Make You Stand Out

PMP certification, PE/PG license, or relevant advanced degree
•
Experience managingecological restoration, mitigation banking, or conservation projects
•
Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams andmentor junior PMs or technical staff
•
Experience withcomplex stakeholder coordination, including regulators, clients, and contractors
