About the Opportunity
A national developer, builder, and manager of multifamily and mixed-use assets is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a premier multifamily development project in Austin, Texas. This exciting opportunity involves managing the construction of a 350-unit, 5-story wrap apartment complex featuring an integrated precast parking garage structure.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders and will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of this high-profile multifamily development. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in multifamily construction projects and a proven track record of managing complex residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management
β’ Oversee all phases of the 350-unit multifamily project from pre-construction through final delivery
β’ Coordinate and manage relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors
β’ Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget parameters
β’ Lead weekly project meetings and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Construction Oversight
β’ Monitor construction progress for the 5-story wrap building design and precast parking garage
β’ Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality standards and safety compliance
β’ Review and approve change orders, RFIs, and construction submittals
β’ Coordinate with city officials and regulatory agencies throughout the permitting and inspection process
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
β’ Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience in multifamily residential construction
β’ Proven experience managing projects valued at $75M+
β’ Strong knowledge of wrap construction and precast concrete systems
β’ Experience with Type V wood frame construction over concrete podium structures
β’ Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera)
β’ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
β’ PMP certification preferred
β’ OSHA 30-Hour certification required
Preferred Experience
β’ Previous experience with mixed-use or multifamily developments in Texas
β’ Knowledge of Austin building codes and permitting processes
β’ Experience working with precast parking garage systems
β’ Background in affordable housing or market-rate multifamily projects
β’ Familiarity with green building practices and LEED certification processes
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:$150,000 - $170,000 annually
