Job Summary: We’re hiring aProject Manager/CAD Operatorto join our in-house drafting and engineering team. In this role, you'll produce detailed construction documents and engineering drawings, attend site visits, and work closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and city officials. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position for someone who thrives on collaboration and technical accuracy. Projects You’ll Work On: • Soft-story seismic retrofits • Hillside homes and slope stabilization • Structural repairs, upgrades, and retrofits • High-rise and mid-rise buildings • Retaining walls and landslide mitigation • Grading and drainage systems • Commercial buildings and multi-family developments Responsibilities: • Draftas-built drawings, foundation/framing plans, grading and drainage plans, and detailed structural sheets • Conductfield visitsto verify existing conditions and gather measurements • Collaborate with engineers, permit expediters, clients, and construction teams • Coordinate with city officials and plan checkers as needed • Attend internal project meetings and manage drafting deliverables • Support with client billing documentation and project tracking Requirements: • 4+ yearsof experience drafting inAutoCAD 2D(required) • Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering (preferred) • Strong understanding offoundation, framing, reinforced concrete, and structural steel designfor residential and commercial projects • Fast, accurate, and efficient AutoCAD skills • Excellent communication and team collaboration • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented • Experience withpermit expeditingis a plus • Must have areliable personal vehiclefor occasional field visits (local travel only) Perks & Benefits: • Competitive pay:$40/hour + • Robust health coverage:Employer contribution towards Kaiser Medical and Dental Insurance • Vision insurance • Retirement planning:401(k) plan to help you invest in your future • Bonuses:Performance-based bonus opportunities • Career growth:Clear paths for advancement and leadership development • Company phone provided • Job stability:Over 30 years of consistent growth and success Schedule: • Monday to Friday • 8-hour shifts Work Location: In-person —Sunland, CA (Local field visits required) Equal Opportunity Employer: Alpha Structural is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
