About Us: SSI Construction is an established General Contractor specializing in multi-family and commercial restoration and defect repair projects in the Pacific Northwest. We work direct for owners, owner’s representatives, HOAs, and property managers to protect their most vital investments. Job Overview: SSI Construction is seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to oversee and manage various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, project coordination, construction management, and possess excellent time management skills. The Project Manager/Estimator oversees all aspects of the project; estimating, budgeting, precon, scheduling, selecting and coordinating subcontractors, and other managerial aspects of the project. Managing medium to large scale projects is the primary focus. The Project Manager/Estimator plans and oversees the implementation for the construction of restoration, remediation, maintenance, and defect repair. He/She consults with clients and company representatives to direct project development. Primary Responsibilities: • Create project contracts • Estimate, develop and oversee project execution strategy • Maintain project budget • Create project work package • Create project profit projections • Provide Business Manager with necessary project billing data • Project Precon, kickoff and debrief meetings for large projects • Generate and manage change order process • Manage project permitting • Draft and secure subcontractor and purchase order agreements • Hold regular project meetings • Manage formal communication with clients and subcontractors • Verify vendor qualification and manage vendor relations • Coordinate and closeout subcontractors and vendors • Maintain customer relations • Frequent jobsite visits • Jobsite safety audits Requirements: · Experience managing large scale restoration and defect repair projects · Experience estimating large scale restoration and defect repair projects · Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently · Experience managing a project team · Proven experience in construction project management · Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques · Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines · Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately · Knowledge of contract management and negotiation · Visit each project that you are managing at a minimum of once a week · Attend job walks to bid projects for Estimating The Fine Print: In order to qualify for this position, we require the following: • Legal working status • Valid WA license and clean driving record • Reliable transportation • Frequent commuting to and from projects as needed • Ability to do job walks, climb a ladder, get on a roof etc. • Clean drug screen and background check, this is a Safety Sensitive position. • A winning attitude!
