JOB SUMMARY:

Regional Projects Manager will report directly to the Regional General Manager and will be responsible for building a high performing traveling Projects Team. This individual will have an extensive working knowledge of all aspects of the HVACR industry with a track record of successful on-time completions of highly valued, complex installation and replacement projects. This individual is responsible for the end-to-end process of surveying, quote collaboration with Client Team, and executing any awarded project from our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of regional field projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality & safety standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client projects team, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders regarding project progress, requirements, and specifications.
  • Plan and schedule project activities, including resource allocation, manpower requirements, equipment procurement, subcontractor coordination, permitting, crane or lift scheduling, and final inspection.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct initial site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including scope of work, schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and expenses on the job (WO) to ensure adherence to financial targets and profitability goals.
  • Lead project meetings with internal teams and external partners to review project status, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage project scope changes, assess their impact on timeline and budget, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to reach consensus on adjustments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams as necessary to review project plans and specifications, provide input on constructability and value engineering, and resolve technical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in project management workflows, tools, and methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism among project teams, promoting adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Build a team of technicians that has the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities to execute the requirements of a higher profile HVACR project. Must be willing to travel within the region 100% of the time and outside of the region up to 25% of the time.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience in project management roles within the HVACR industry, with a track record of successfully delivering field projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVACR systems, equipment, and installation practices, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, subcontractors, and team members at all levels.
  • Proficient in project management oversight tools and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve project objectives and exceed client expectations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to HVACR projects (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, building codes).
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards, quality assurance practices, and ethical conduct in all aspects of project execution.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required and work flexible hours to accommodate project schedules and deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 12 Years of HVACR Industry Experience
  • Minimum of 4 Years leading high performing teams

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work in all weather types outdoors.
  • Must be able to physically push/pull/lift up to 49 lbs without assistance.

Helios Service Partners determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,000 - $105,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
