Job Description
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing and well-established Property Managment client across various areas, including payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger activities. This temp-to-hire role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reporting functions for a portfolio of residential properties.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily and periodic financial entries related to vendor payments, revenue tracking, payroll processing, and journal entries.

Prepare and reconcile multiple bank statements on a monthly basis.
•
Support periodic financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, and yearly), including reconciliations and financial report preparation.
•
Conduct financial performance analysis to identify patterns, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement; provide actionable insights to leadership.
•
Deliver concise, accurate financial summaries and operational metrics to senior executives to guide business decisions.
•
Collaborate with site teams to develop and review property-level budgets and forecasts.
•
Maintain well-organized documentation and ensure proper file retention practices are followed.
•
Participate in broader financial initiatives or corporate-level accounting tasks as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications:
•
In-depth experience with accounting practices related to residential real estate management, development entities, and corporate structures.
•
Capable of producing and interpreting financial information for senior-level stakeholders.
•
Solid grasp of property-related taxation and its impact on financial operations.
•
Familiarity with standard accounting principles (GAAP).
•
Proficient in property and general accounting platforms such as Yardi, NetSuite, or similar systems.
•
Strong numerical reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
•
Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
