We are seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to work with our Business Development (BD) team on proposal creation and development. This role is focused on content generation, layout/design, research, and service offering coordination between teams.

The Role

•    Generate compelling proposals that are custom-built for each client that reflect the Mach49 story, approach, and how Mach49 will help the client succeed.
•    Use MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Keynote, Adobe, and Box to build and complete proposals and other materials.
•    Maintain and update proposal templates as needed, including conducting process refinement on an ongoing basis to best meet the needs of the BD team.
•    Maintain the proposal information in relevant entries in the organization wiki (Guru).
•    Use AirTable and HubSpot CRM to track the sales pipeline to assist in proposal creation, including when proposals need to be drafted, when they are in review, and when they are sent to the client.
•    Attend multiple meetings each week across Operations / Business Development to drive alignment and liaise between departments.
•    Work with the Business Development team to uncover gaps in Sales Enablement, and coordinate with the appropriate departments to fill those gaps.
•    Assist in onboarding efforts, introducing new team members to the proposal creation process, and integrating relevant content into the overall onboarding journey.
•    Work with the BD and delivery teams to review the RFP requests, and then organize and assemble the relevant information from across the content/knowledge ecosystem to build a competitive RFP response.

Requirements

•    At least 3 years of experience in proposal development, RFP / RFI response writing, and proposal design.
•    Extremely detail-oriented throughout the entire proposal development and delivery process.
•    Incredible attention to detail visible through impeccable spelling, grammar, and formatting. 
•    Able to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
•    Able to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions critical to success.
•    Comfortable adapting to multiple work styles to deliver the best possible end result.
•    Proactive communication habits that consistently move the proposal process forward.
•    A willingness to do what it takes to make Mach49 and client teams successful -– there is no job too big or too small
•    Exceptional people skills and the demonstrated ability to gain confidence, build rapport, and drive consensus with team members.
•    Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience (Business Writing, English, or Marketing preferred).
•    Able to learn about complex, evolving products / services quickly in order to review proposed activities for suitability in each proposal.
•    Experience with AirTable, HubSpot CRM, Guru, Box, Google Suite, MS Office Suite, Slack, Keynote, Adobe InDesign, and Power Point.
•    Previous experience working at a start-up is a plus.

Salary range: $65K - $75K
