Role: Propulsion System End Of Line & Diagnostic Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support verification, validation, DVP design for Integrated SW Qualification Testing, support for vehicles builds and high voltage testing for Propulsion System Service and EOL/plant support for End of Line (EOL) activities.
Support Aftersales teams at dealerships by tracking and addressing field Quality concerns.
Support Controls Validation, Calibration, and Validation teams during development and field issues resolution.
Responsible for gathering and development of requirements for the assigned propulsion features.
Lead global stakeholders to identify diagnostic requirements for new technologies and features for propulsion systems aftersales and plant diagnosability.
Work with multi-discipline engineering teams to decompose and develop the diagnosability and maintainability strategies for the propulsion system.
Act as the technical owner of the diagnostic content for the Client global teams and suppliers.
Manage and maintain requirements artifacts for the propulsion control system such as Diagnostic Synthesis Table (DST), Fault Repair Trees.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university
Experience in developing diagnostic content for either or both electrified propulsion system and conventional.
Knowledge of Diagnostic Protocols.
Knowledge of CAN messaging structure & protocol for the CAN-Bus layer
Knowledge of electrical systems test interface tools
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Good understanding of vehicle propulsion system (conventional and/or electrified) Experience in developing more sophisticated diagnostic strategies, such as, but not limited to, aftertreatment diagnostics, evaporative leak detection diagnostics, or comprehensive component monitoring (circuit checks, rationalities and functional checks including automatic learnings)
Familiarity with the following programming: C++, MatLab/Simulink, Pseudo code modification
Utilizing a multi-functional tool chain, requiring familiarity with IBM Rational ALM, ONG, etc.
