Job Description
Summary
This position is part of the WAPA-SNR-Sierra Nevada Region. As a Public Utilities Specialist, you will support the Itron MV-90 administrator responsible for managing, operating, and troubleshooting issues with the MV-90xi application and remote interrogation metering system and similarly, all settlements and power billing functions related software configurations.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Folsom, CA duty location.**

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
At the GS-09 level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-07] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Analytical and evaluative methods, tools, and techniques.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating automated and/or manually collected data.
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

Combination of higher level graduate education and experience that together meets the qualifications for this position.
At the GS-11 level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-09] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Analytical and evaluative methods, tools, and techniques to apply them to program operations and issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of power billing and settlement operations.
- Laws, policies, and regulations applicable to the electric utility industry to make effective recommendations for business process improvements.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

Combination of higher level graduate education and experience that together meets the qualifications for this position.

This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
