Engineering services: Comprehensive design, engineering, and validation capabilities for complete vehicle development projects: CAD, CAE and testing of all major vehicle functionalities. Job Description

The job covers and includes:

1. Controlling a small procurement and working closelywith technical departments.
2. Developing suppliers in the field of automotive engineering, IT and general suppliers.
3. Identifying key risks in the procurement function and devising risk mitigants.

Desirable qualities- Non-Technical

1. Analytical, dynamic, hard-working and focussed with ability to co-ordinate with different departments operating in a decentralized environment but with centralized control on all key matters.
2. Adaptable to dynamic situations.
3. Willing to be a part of procedure development.
4. Ability to work under tight deadlines in a SAP environment.
5. Ability to interact with multi-cultural teams and across time zones.
6. Good negotiation and problem solving skills
7. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of Spanish will be preferred.
8. Knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP Ariba
9. Willingness to travel outside home base as and when required.

Desirable qualities – Domain

1. Supply chain development, monitoring and evaluation.
2. Contract management including for high-end software licences.
3. Risk management in the procurement function.
4. Theoretical and practical knowledge in import and export regulations.
5. Working knowledge knowledge of GST and Foreign Exchange laws

Qualifications

Basic Educational degree

Engineer in the field of Mechanical or Electronics engineering with a CPSM or CSCP qualification

Experience

Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in the procurement department of an automotive OEM/Tier-1 supplier.
