About the Job

The Quality Assurance Lead will oversee Connected’s Florida cultivation and production quality processing.  They are responsible for implementing and maintaining quality initiatives including product / package quality, compliance, cGMPs, and executing all QA protocols to ensure company and state quality objectives and requirements are met with accuracy and timeliness.

What You Will Do

• Establish and maintain the quality assurance and compliance functions within the facility.
• Manage the Quality responsibilities to ensure compliance with necessary cGMP standards.
• Maintain HACCP Safety Plans. 
• Supervises accurate and timely reporting of work documentation and records to ensure integrity and retention requirements (compliance and systems adherence).
• Document and maintain quality SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) for items such as:
• Sanitation procedures
• Product management and quality standards
• SAP system adherence
• Admin policies
• Responsible for auditing lab compliance requests and performing final checks of COA compliance before labeling.
• Perform internal audit process and document findings and recommendations for improvements.
• Complete corrective action plans and implement in conjunction with the Production Manager.
• Supports the Manager by communicating and suggesting tasks to employees.
• Always upholds compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements; maintains the reputation of the Connected brand.
• Acts as point person for Trulieve QA team.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Production Manager, VP of Operations, and Sr. Compliance Manager.

What We Are Looking For

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• 3+ years experience in Food Quality or a similar field, Associates Degree Preferred.
• Experience in the cannabis industry is highly preferred.
• Excellent computer and mathematics skills; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
• Possess solid root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.
• Good communication skills, high attention to detail
• Experienced relationship building with internal team and external partners.
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements.
• Comfortable learning new technologies.
• Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting and ability to recommend to management well thought out recommendations.
• Calm under pressure.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strongly committed to providing high quality products to clients including the packing and presentation of the products.
• Safety and compliance focused.
