As an QA Engineering Manager at Stensul you will be part of the Engineering Managers team and your mission will be to lead, motivate and coach our high-performance team of QA engineers, responsible for supporting the development of Stensul's premium platform.

Our new QA Engineering Manager will be capable of removing roadblocks, developing people and guiding them to success.

Responsibilities
  • Expanding QA team capacities by attracting, adding, developing, coaching and retaining exceptional talent.
  • Fostering the team's participation in communications with customers in order to deeply understand their needs and challenges, adding the QA point of view to the initiatives as early as possible in the process. Focusing on outcomes more than output.
  • Leading discussions and decisions in the QA team and the engineering area, fostering the high quality delivery of our Product Engineering Teams.
  • Ensuring the QA processes, principles and best practices are followed by all the teams and continuously improved.
  • Continuously evolving the QA technology stack and facilitate adoption of new tools.
  • Positively influencing the Engineering Managers team, contributing to develop our strong culture, team synchronization and up leveling the whole Engineering team.
  • Creating an environment of psychological safety, respect and trust, providing guidance and advice: be there for your teammates and the team you lead as you learn together.
  • Developing an engineering culture centered around quality (including user empathy) being both essential and a responsibility of the whole team.
  • Developing a data informed decision making culture for the improvement of the platform quality.
  • Partnering with the Engineering Managers team and the Direction to create a strategic plan for improving the quality culture of the area and the company.
  • Partnering with the Support team to ensure cross functional collaboration is effective and SLAs are met.
  • Regularly reporting progress of ongoing initiatives, goals and challenges as well as the evolution of key quality metrics to your teammates, the Directors and the rest of the organization.
  • Collaborate in the technical planning and cross team coordination with the Technical Leaders and Directors.
  • Taking a hands-on approach when the situation demands.
About you
  • You have 4+ years leading and deeply caring for your QA teams in rapidly growing startups with a proven record of positively influencing the quality of the product.
  • You have 7+ years of experience shipping high ­quality software products.
  • You have a strong customer oriented mindset.
  • You have fluent oral and written Spanish skills.
  • You have advanced oral and written English skills.
  • You have strong communication skills, you are concise when speaking and writing. You will need to work and connect with multiple areas in the company.
  • You have solid knowledge of software quality assurance processes, best practices, techniques and automation technology.
  • You value simple solutions.
  • You are candid, transparent, honest and self-aware.
  • You effectively delegate work and trust your team.
  • You are always willing to help and learn from others and by yourself.
  • You have a good balance of determination, autonomy and collaboration.
  • You have the ability to connect available talent with business needs.

  • You have a great sense of humor (we sure do!).
Bonus points for having

Knowledge and experience with the following technology: Testrail, Puppeteer, Jest, Gitlab pipelines, Allure, WebDriverIo, Playwright, Jmeter, K6, New Relic, Honeycomb, Kibana, Grafana. At a minimum you know similar technologies.

You made key contributions to the reduction of the software development cycle times while increasing the quality of the products.
