QA Manager

QA Manager, Costa Mesa, CA

Responsibilities: Work cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and project managers for test planning, test case development, and execution of the test plan/test case; Work with internal development teams and external teams/partners for test planning and execution; Perform testing on existing/new products and services including apps and websites; Evaluate test results, bug triage, and generate measures to ensure the highest level of product quality; and, Interfacing with external partners for QA planning and execution. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. Ensure successful deployment of products; Mentor junior members of the QA team.

Qualifications: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR’S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS, OR RELATED FIELD, PLUS 5 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE OCCUPATIONS/JOB OFFERED OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION. 

IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A MASTER’S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS, OR RELATED FIELD.

Special Requirements: 

1. Experience with product managers and development teams including BI, E-Comm and Apps teams to distill requirements into scenarios which can be verified and tested.
2. Experience with Agile and Scrum, and Atlassian products including JIRA and Confluence. 
3. Experience with Databases, API, Automation and billing systems. 
4. Telecom experience. 
5. Testing experience with full understanding of SDLC processes. 
6. Automation experience and experience working with external partners. 
7. Experience in Python.
