Quality and Product Manager

As the Quality and Product Manager, for Nutreco Switzerland, operating from Nutreco’s brand new facility Nutreco’s Garden of the Future in Switzerland, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Global Supply Point. You are ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation. Reporting to the Upstream Manager of NutEx, with a functional link to the Global Quality team at Nutreco, you will oversee the full lifecycle of our specialty ingredients, from development to production.

About The Role: Play a key role in Nutex development

• Product Development & Management

  • Coordinate upstream part of development activities, including testing, shelf-life assessments, and formulation optimization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design product specifications and drive sustainability initiatives.

  • Maintain and optimize product management systems, including ERP implementation and documentation (e.g., master dossiers, ingredient monographs).

• Quality Assurance

  • Develop and enhance NutEx’s quality system, ensuring compliance with our QS Scheme, ensuring alignment with global standards (e.g., Nutrace, ISO, GMP+).

  • Collaborate with Nutreco’s global quality network to leverage best practices and maintain end-to-end Feed to Food Safety and Quality (FSC) compliance.

  • Serve as the primary contact for external certification bodies and regulatory authorities, ensuring all permits and certifications are obtained and maintained.

• Regulatory Compliance

  • Liaise with Nutreco’s global regulatory affairs group to drive regulatory strategies, conduct early-stage assessments, and ensure compliance for new and existing products.

  • Lead efforts to create and maintain product registrations, certifications, and regulatory dossiers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, biology, nutrition, or related fields.

• Relevant experience in product development, quality, and/or regulatory roles within the feed, food, or pharma industries.

• Expertise in food and/or feed safety systems and certification schemes (ISO, QS, GMP+).

• Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).

• Willingness to travel up to 20%, with a focus on collaboration with our global customers.
