Job Description

MAIN MISSION Define the company’s quality policy and objectives while ensuring their implementation, develop and implement quality approaches by ensuring coherence across different structures and/or departments, and continuously update and improve the organization’s quality management system.

LEVEL OF AUTONOMY The role requires determining directions and adapting allocated resources, with validation based on results.

AUTHORITIES Authorized to:

  • Validate quality procedures
  • Stop delivery or production in case of major non-conformity
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to terminate contracts with suppliers in case of significant performance issues

SUPERVISION AND COOPERATION

  • All business units

  • The role involves negotiations and representation of major and diverse stakeholders.

External relationships:

  • Suppliers
  • Clients
  • Subcontractors

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Quality policy definition:

  • Propose a quality policy to top management
  • Define action priorities and resource allocation (human, financial, time, materials) along with procedures for handling dysfunction, validating operational action plans
  • Promote quality internally and externally
  • Plan and control the implementation of internal and external quality audits and investigations (customer satisfaction, process analysis)
  • Design and lead quality project and/or program management
  • Define quality standards and indicators

Quality system monitoring:

  • Validate production tool choices to enhance process reliability, as well as procedures and quality policy documents
  • Monitor process and activity compliance
  • Establish and evaluate the quality system
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal and external quality actions
  • Ensure proper implementation of the quality system
  • Supervise quality audits, inspections, and training
  • Cascade quality management throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ensure compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with applicable standards (GMP, GDP, ISO, etc.)
  • Oversee quality documentation
  • Manage self-inspections (planning, follow-up), external inspections, and audits
  • Proactively manage quality improvement projects

Supplier quality management: In collaboration with the Purchasing department:

  • Define supplier quality assurance policy and evaluation rules
  • Monitor supplier performance, organize audits, and review meetings in case of performance degradation

Contribute to supplier selection during project phases

Qualifications

General knowledge:

  • Knowledge of industrial processes
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations in the field, including QEHS

Technical competencies:

  • Proficiency in Lean manufacturing
  • Mastery of quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, QRQC, LLC, etc.)

Familiarity with relevant software applications
