Process Overview

The team in India is an extension of Bank of America's Global Risk Organization. India team provides analytical and technological support to the Model Risk Management desk.

Job Description

Model Risk Management team has migrated its primary workflow, inventory, and Approved Data Source (ADS) system from an internal system to an external vendor system. The candidate will work closely with the Model Risk Management (MRM) Reporting and Analytics team in gathering requirements/ direction and user feedback to create and update Tableau dashboards that read from new vendor MRM database / Approved Data Source (ADS) system.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for a broad range of activities, including:

• Critically analyze the business needs and document the same in presentable format for easy tracking
• Present data and insights on Tableau
• Identify, isolate/rectify any data anomalies
• Interact with various business and risk partners and provide tour on work product

Requirements

• Education
• Masters or Bachelors in a analytical field such as Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Technology
• Educational institutes: Top engineering institutes etc.
• Certifications: Technical certifications Tableau and other BI tools, SQL
• Experience Range

• 5+ years of work experience in Tableau and SQL

• Foundational skills
• 7+ years of experience in the analytical field
• Be able to analyze the needs of the business
• Have a solid understanding of development and deployment standards and the ability to work in a complex environment that involves liaison with multiple teams.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently, self-starter; and problem/solving/analytical
• Extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing dashboards and reports in Tableau (2 year minimum)
• Be able to explain work product to various business and risk partners
• Be able to identify and understand data anomalies
• Write substantial documentation such as desktop procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Technical knowledge of Tableau Products, integration and versions including Tableau Server, Tableau Public, Tableau Online, Tableau Desktop, and so on
• Able to build visually-stunning and interactive dashboards
• Able to manipulate and blend data in order to design dashboards and visualization
• Critical thinking and ability to independently and proactively identify/suggest/resolve issues
• Strong Written and Oral Communication

• Proficiency in data analytics and database querying tools
• Knowledge of data architecture, migration, and mapping
• Sound knowledge and experience in Excel including pivot tables, PL/SQL, ETL
• Speaking / presentation skills in a professional setting
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and influence others
• Ability to produce high quality technical documentation
