Come and join us as an R&D Team Manager in our PGHV Technology Center North Asia. This position will be based in Xiamen, China, and you shall have the opportunity to lead and develop a team of 20+ talented colleagues.

• You will be leading an R&D department composed of several teams working for new HV switchgear product develop and existing product support.
• You will do capacity, people, and resources planning for R&D activities.
• You will set SMART targets for team members; Promote sustainable competence and talent development; Drive and foster a culture of innovation within the team.
• You will create an inspiring team vision aligned with the organization's strategy, encouraging innovation and R&D quality & efficiency.
• You will recommend, develop, and improve processes, procedures, and tools to enhance team operations.
• You will build, develop, and maintain trust-based relationships and collaboration with internal (other R&D units, product management, operations, business management) and external contacts.
• You uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

• Master's degree or above in Engineering with 5+ years relevant R&D experience, preferably in a global corporate environment.
• Experience leading a team, either straight- or dotted-line leadership.
• Experience in high-voltage product R&D and development of insulation products an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, self-starter and team player.
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken (any additional language is a plus).
