About the job

The role designed for you:

As a R&D Development Specialist you will work on specific R&D project in the area of development of self-adhesive materials for filmic products. You will work directly with the category R&D managers, the R&D Director and the whole R&D team and will have the chance to acquire significant knowledge both in the technical field (adhesives, face materials, applications) and the company innovation processes. The role includes experimental work: laboratory tests, trials, etc. You will be fully involved in these processes and will be work in strict cooperation with Marketing, Purchasing, Production, Planning, Quality, Sales, and the rest of the R&D team.

• You will make technical hypotheses based on customer’s requests or project briefs.

• You will perform experimental testing and critical analysis.

• You will characterize your own and competitors’ products.

• You will manage your own projects including reporting, providing feedback in project software, and more.

• You will carry out scale-up activities, such as organizing and attending industrial trials, as well as testing and assessing resulting products.

• You will collaborate with other functions to address costs, quality issues, planning, production and commercial requirements.

• You will attend and present at review meetings with stakeholders.

The attitudes and skills we’re looking for:

• You hold a master’s degree in chemistry, a related discipline, or engineering.

• You demonstrate scientific mindset, with the ability to design experiments and to critically analyse results.

• You have a strong passion for R&D.

• You show passion for learning and an open mind.

• You have the availability to build new relationships and cooperate across teams and departments in an international environment

• You are able to travel in Spain and abroad

• You are proficient in Spanish and English. Italian will be considerate too.

• You identify yourself as a curious person with a proactive approach.
