The Upstream and Fluid Management Applications Team Leader for Cytiva is responsible for leading a group of Upstream applications experts that focuses on traditional and perfusion bioreactors. The role will focus on leading this group to support new-product development teams in specifying design requirements, executing product testing, and developing applications know-how, all of which support successful product launches. Additionally, the role will develop excellent relationships with functional partners such as product management and field applications specialists globally, with the objective of continuing to expand influence and leadership of the Applications Team.Â
This position is part of the Upstream and Fluid Management R&D team located in Marlborough, MA and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.Â
What you will do:Â

Lead a group of ~4 engineering V&V test experts.Â
-
Manage the general flow of people, resources, and work through the labs.Â
-
Participate in the R&D activities to ensure on time delivery of projects.

Provide subject-matter expertise to NPD teams, field applications, and customers.Â

Build a culture of delivering as promised and of managing resources to identify critical needs and to deliver high-impact results.Â

Build the influence of the group within the Upstream community and across partner business units.Â

Lead on day-to-day management of the group’s project deliverables.Â

Grow individuals on your team to provide each associate with career paths that suit their aspirations.Â
Who you are:Â
-
Education: BS or equivalent, advanced degree preferredÂ
-
Functional experience: 5Â years expertise working in a bioprocess environmentÂ
-
Leadership experience: 3 years direct or through practical project leadershipÂ
-
Strong understanding of bioprocessingÂ
-
Experience with new product developmentÂ
-
Experience in developing biopharma projects and working in a highly regulated industryÂ
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Â

Resource management to optimize productivity with available resourcesÂ

Project managementÂ
