Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance/accounting support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.

To support this transformation, we are hiring a GBS RTR Manager within the Global Business Services organization. This role, reporting to the GBS RTR Director, will be responsible for helping deliver on the organization's objectives and supporting the operational delivery for the global RTR function and accounting operations. The role collaborates with global teams and will drive initiatives and operations within the COE and a large diverse global stakeholder base.

In this role you will get to:

  • Supporting the strategy in all aspects of operational accounting processes for BHIs brands globally, aligned with the RTR Global Taxonomy, including but not limited to corporate and regional accounting, revenue accounting, intercompany, leases, fixed assets, and Statutory reporting.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to implement people, process and system integration.
  • Work on developing the Operational Governance, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Metrics, SLA's to objectively and continually assess process performance and determine process health.
  • Drive alignment and process standardization, automation, and best practices to enhance service delivery across the Booking Holdings brands globally.
  • Support GBS enablement and process transformation projects and the delivery of key record-to-report programs (on-going and future projects) across multiple global entities.
  • Drives and manages strategic initiatives, including project management execution and monitoring.
  • Promote change management efforts related to project implementations and process improvement initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption strategies. Ensure smooth transition and acceptance of changes within Brand Finance operations and COE shared services centers.
  • Participate in key business initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
  • Guide the COE accounting teams and monitor the reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Work with External Audit, Internal Audit, Risk and Control and functional leads to ensure proper internal controls are in place and to address or mitigate any deficiency.
  • Oversee the quality of the documentation created by the COE team, reflective of the Finance services provided including process steps, inputs, outputs, and stakeholders; using process mapping techniques and tools.
  • Closely monitors the productivity of the COE to ensure targets are met, and provides the necessary coaching, development, and training support to ensure the accounting team is actively engaged and operating at a high-performance level.
  • Encourage transparency, collaboration and open communication in the COE and the business.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement mind-set and leading change within the COE or Brand
  • Works effectively in a high growth environment - comfortable in both individual contributor roles and cross-functional team management roles, depending on what is required by the business at the time.
  • Must be agile and collaborative especially in a matrix organization, with a complex business environment across geographies and Brands. Ability to translate vision to operational plans.
  • Quickly establish a strong knowledge base on processes, policies, and systems. Demonstrate strong business and technical acumen, sufficient to gain credibility and trust with business partners, colleagues, and accounting teams.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
  • Able to navigate and manage competing priorities.
  • Maintains a positive and strong relationship with all levels of business, cross-functional stakeholders and peers.
  • Support resources located in different time zones and cultures.

What you have:

  • CPA/CA
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred and/or multinational corporate environment
  • 8-12 years experience in running Corporate Accounting preferably in Captive setting
  • Experience running accounting/finance operations in a shared-service model.
  • Technical Accounting experience
  • Project management and/or transformation experience, a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organization.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at various levels of the organization tailored appropriately to the audience.
  • Candidates should demonstrate effective collaboration skills up, down and across the organization.
  • Maintain effectiveness in a continually evolving environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX
  • Experience with SAP, One Source and Blackline is preferred.
  • Experience with OneStream is a plus.

There are a variety of job related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $131,400-$160,600.
