Refrigeration Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems and equipment in various settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Duties • Prefer a Journeyman with 5+ years experience • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and components, including ammonia refrigeration systems. • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC/R equipment using schematics and technical manuals. • Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance. • Conduct field service calls to assess and resolve customer issues related to refrigeration and HVAC systems. • Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and electrical to complete installations or repairs. • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and maintenance tasks. • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all work activities. Qualifications • Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R field or related areas such as appliance repair or property maintenance. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles. • Experience in construction or field service roles is preferred. • Familiarity with air conditioning systems, boilers, and general equipment repair techniques. • Ability to perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations. • Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
