Position: Regional Lead HUC

Band: II

Role Description:

This role leads a team of underwriters and manages relationships with regional brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrites, prices and negotiates accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategies and guidelines for the product lines.
• Identifies underperforming brokers and renewal books, and engages team and key stakeholders to drive improvements.
• Builds collaborative relationships with underwriters across the US offices.
• Achieves production targets and underwrites business profitably.
• Functions as an escalation point for both personnel and underwriting-related concerns and provides day-to-day coaching and development to team members.

Technical Requirements:

• Expertise in leading, motivating and developing a team of underwriters to achieve business results.
• In depth knowledge of underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Advanced risk assessment, business needs assessment, and pricing knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of broker performance variables and ability to respond effectively.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Salary Range $105,000 - 130,000
