Job Description
Position Summary: This position sits within Global Travel Retail Gulf & India Business Unit. It reports to the BU Head of Commercial and responsible of building and maintaining best-in-industry relationships with key customers (e.g. Airlines and Duty Free operators of airports in India) as a basis for driving value for Travel Retail business; and coordinating duty free account strategy worldwide. The incumbent is responsible for achieving sales target (business profit and cash management) and providing profitable business solutions and promotion objectives through value generation per customer, management & mentoring of junior sales staff & CSR.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customer level strategic plans with customers. Strive to foster a professional partnership with customer, enabling the overall sales and profit goals to be achieved.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Implement sales strategies and formulate business plan for all customers.
- Sales planning and forecasting,
- Planning and organizing sales promotion activities with customers
- Prepare Annual Marketing/Promotion Calendar, New product launch, In-store brand visibility.
- Control and monitor in-market A&P budget and perform analysis of commercial A&P spending.
- Perform market and competitor data analysis and timely action against competitor activities.
- Establishing strong PR with operator senior Management, Shop Floor Management, Sales Staff and Logistical Staff to ensure optimum positioning and sales of our brands.
- Meeting Shipment, Depletion and Market Share objectives
- Partner with Travel Retail Marketing team to customize global activations/ promotions & visibility to strengthen brand equity
Qualifications/Requirements:
- MBA from premier institute
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales and key account management with significant leadership role, in travel retail business for FMCG and luxury brands.
- Solid experience in account planning & management, operational policy & procedure, merchandising knowledge and skills and financial knowledge.
- Evidence of success in negotiations or management with customers.
- Leadership and achievement drive. High-energy with exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong presentation/communication and negotiation skill is essential.
- Strong effectiveness, results orientation, and analytical skills
- Strong ability to plan and adapt to changing environment
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to travel domestic and internationally on a frequent basis.
