Job Description

Main Tasks

  • Develop and implement a successful sales strategy to align with corporate goals and achieve objectives.
  • Analyze and monitor sales forecast activity and profit margin performance and make the necessary changes on time to achieve goals consistent with the Region and Company objectives.
  • Create action plans to penetrate new markets and cultivate customer relationships. Take a primary role in sales to acquire key prospects and secure order.
  • Support critical customer situations and liaison with Service and Application staff to obtain the best solutions to maintain customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Provide customer/dealer/manufacture (OEM) support, including sales, installation, technical backup, regular follow-up visits, education, and overall regional territory analysis.
  • Establish professional relationships within the industry and partner with customers to understand and anticipate their needs further.
  • Prepare periodic budget and sales reports showing volume and performance in the region. Complete other reporting duties consistent with the Regional Sales Manager position.
  • Conduct seminars and attend trade shows promoting System 3R as the leader in the industry.
  • National and international travel to GF Machining Solutions and System 3R locations, trade shows, and customers is required regularly to cultivate internal and external relationships.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in sales or business; four to six years of related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior sales management experience preferred, ideally in an engineering, tooling/automation, and/or machine tool environment.
  • Knowledge and proficient experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Sales Pad, CRM, and Great Plains preferred.
  • The ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to develop business correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to make presentations and effectively communicate written and verbal ideas to management, customers, employees of the organization, dealers, and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret finance and budget statements, commercial contracts, and general office procedures. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • This position will require the employee to regularly travel to customer sites, trade shows, or other company locations domestically and internationally.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
