To be successful, you should have: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois with BLS and ACLS certification (PALS for pediatric cases may be required). • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered. • Minimum 2 years of operating room or critical care experience. • Solid knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical procedures, and perioperative standards. • Willingness and ability to travel to various ambulatory surgical centers as needed. Your responsibilities as the Circulating RN will include: • Verify patient identity, assess physical and emotional status, and ensure safe positioning throughout surgery. • Prepare the operating room and monitor aseptic technique, correcting any breaks in sterility. • Provide instruments, supplies, and medications, anticipating team needs for efficient workflow. • Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff, acting as liaison with other departments. • Assist in patient transfer, complete documentation, and prepare the OR for the next procedure.
