Job Description
General Description:Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care.
Supervision Received: Reports to Clinical Nurse Manager/Medical Director
Essential Functions:
• Coordinate all infertility diagnostic tests and treatment plans between patients and physicians
• Perform routine examinations, procedures, and administer medications
• Telephone triage with patients regarding patient medication, treatment plans and test results
• Care of patient through ovulation induction, egg freezing, sperm analysis, IVF and oocyte donation
• Patient education on treatment protocols, medications and infertility procedures
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in all IVF procedures
• Responsible for the ongoing communication between the Physician and the patient
• Assist with Retrievals and Transfers, pre-and post op care
• Counsel patients on infertility treatment protocols
• Communicate physician orders and instructions
• Responsible for accurate and timely communication of lab results to patients
• Maintain patient charting, testing and flow sheets
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Education:Graduate of accredited nursing program
Skills/Qualifications:
• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse
• CPR/ACLS/BCLS Certification
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures related to fertility
• 1 year of fertility experience preffered
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to all stressful situations.
• Skilled in charting and documenting nursing actions
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
• Strong computer skills, EMR experience strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to work well in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining a composure and an individualized, compassionate approach to patient care.
• Excellent work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualification:
• Bilingual preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
