Salary Range:$109,732 β $130,438 annually
Position Summary:
The RN Nurse Manager oversees nursing operations at the San Julian Oasis Recuperative Care Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role supports nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Nurse Manager supervises Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses, receiving operational guidance from the Program Director and clinical oversight from the Corporate Nurse Manager.
About the Program:
The San Julian Oasis Recuperative Care Center provides interim housing and medical care for individuals experiencing homelessness who are medically stable but require short-term support. Services include medical care, case management, meals, transportation to appointments, and assistance with housing placement and family reunification.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Provide clinical leadership, ensuring best practices in harm reduction and trauma-informed care.
β’ Manage clinical operations, medication ordering, triage, and dispensary processes.
β’ Conduct nursing staff orientations, skills assessments, and ongoing training programs.
β’ Support the Program Director with staffing oversight, compliance, and service delivery improvements.
β’ Perform nursing assessments, assist providers during procedures, and oversee treatment execution.
β’ Supervise medication management, including client self-administration and inventory control.
β’ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, facility safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
β’ Monitor program outcomes, assist with internal/external audits, and complete corrective action plans as needed.
β’ Address and resolve patient complaints appropriately.
β’ Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives.
β’ Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
β’ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
β’ Current California RN license; BSN preferred.
β’ 3β5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
β’ Experience in an ambulatory care setting (minimum four years preferred).
β’ Current CPR certification (American Heart Association).
Skills:
β’ Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
β’ Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and public health practices.
β’ Experience working with underserved populations and individuals experiencing homelessness.
β’ Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
