Position Summary
·Assists physicians with procedures
o Invasive lines
o Blocks/Pain management
o Invasive procedures as circulator
o Invasive procedures as scrub or assistant
o Accurate Counts
·Proper use of equipment

o Sterilizers/Steris
o Warmers
o Microscopes

o Beds, stretchers, transfer devices and lifts

·Safety
o Wears lead apron to meet standards in all cases where xray is used when appropriate
o Wears radiation detection badge to meet standards in all cases where x-ray is used
o Dons PPE to meet standards including protective eyewear with side shields intact.
·Preop Process
o Preop process is completed timely and completely
o The appropriate care givers are notified of abnormal pre-op testing
o Report received, and hand-off completed.
o The chart is complete and/or steps are taken to correct deficiencies
·Completes competencies and participates in education
o Attends or reads minutes of monthly staff meetings
o Participates in educational offerings (Health.edu).
o Completes appropriate orientation / competency assessment in a timely manner.
o Maintains all necessary licensures, certifications, and CEUs without management follow-up.
o Attends required educational programs.
o Promotes own professional growth.
·Follows risk management policies/procedures.
o Demonstrates adherence to Policies & Procedures and attends required educational offerings.
o Completes quality event tracking tool timely and correctly
o Notifies Director / Manager of any potential or real risk.
o Maintains confidentiality regarding risk management issues.
·Maintains appropriate quality control programs.
o Identifies and communicates areas for quality improvement
o Assists with collection of data
o Participates in actions for negative variances.

General Minimum Requirements for This Position
This position requires:
· Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to the position.
· 2-year's Orthopedic/SPINE Operating Room experience.
• Hours of Work: 11am-7pm
• Days of Week: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $57.00 per hour
