Marshfield Medical Center – Marshfield, a primary, secondary, tertiary and Level II Trauma Center hospital, cares for patients from throughout central, northern and western Wisconsin. The facility hosts nearly 40 specialties including cancer, heart and orthopedics care, as well as a 24-bed Children's Hospital equipped with the latest technology and highly trained hospitalists and nurses providing nearly 30 pediatric specialty services, including: child abuse-neglect, gastroenterology, pediatric intensive care, neonatology, and surgery.

The Registered Nurse functions as a vital member of the healthcare team who contributes to the success of Marshfield Clinic Health System by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism and self-development, and teamwork. S/he utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. This individual demonstrates excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and makes decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System policies, department protocols/guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.

Requires:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire; at time of hire preferred.
• Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
• Affiliated staff privileges at associated hospital may be required (varies by department/location).
• Two years nursing experience preferred, but not required.
