JOB SUMMARY:This position requires a registered nurse who delivers health and skill development services to clients who are experiencing mental and physical conditions associated with mental illness and substance abuse. The registered nurse will utilize the nursing documentation and communication skills to collaborate with other team members in completing required assessments and participate in clients treatment planning. Supervise provisions of client care services. Will meet the direct service (face to face contact) expectation as determined by the treatment plan goals. The registered nurse will utilize assessment and treatment skills, provide intake assessments by completing the required physical, mental health and substance abuse assessments. Participation in treatment team meetings to ensure integrated treatment planning is required. Coordination with other health care providers to create continuity in care is required. Will be required to conduct lab work services as needed. Keeps abreast with professional developments in nursing and related areas. Maintains an effective system of records and reports. Oversight of medical information, and medication training for clients and staff, as appropriate. Performs other duties as from time-to-time, be deemed appropriate by the supervisor. Collaborate with physicians and other team members. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY: • Degree from an accredited School of Nursing • Licensed to practice nursing in the state of New Jersey • Experience as a RN in the field of behavioral health is preferred. • Current CPR/FA certificate • Must be at least 21 years old • Must be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen and background check • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record.
