Registered Nurse (RN) - Day and Night Shifts

What You’ll Do: As an RN, you’ll be a vital part of our team, supporting both the children and the nursing staff in a warm, home-like setting. Honeysuckle Homeis a 24/7 residential medical group home providing holistic care to medically fragile children in a warm, nurturing, family-style setting. We’re looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dedicated team and help us create an environment where children feel safe, loved, and cared for — not just treated. What You’ll Do: • Deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care tailored to each child’s unique medical and psychosocial needs. • Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects. • Perform regular health assessments, monitor vital signs, and document observations clearly and thoroughly. • Support children’s daily living activities (including assisting CNAs) and help prepare them for school, appointments, visits, and more. • Educate children and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and health maintenance. • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure each child’s care plan reflects their holistic needs. • Provide emotional support by engaging with the children in ways that help them feel at home — playing, reading, laughing, and listening. • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment aligned with infection control standards. What We’re Looking For: • CurrentRegistered Nurse (RN)license in good standing in Illinois • Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) • CurrentBLS/CPR certification (AHA or equivalent) • 2–3 years of pediatric nursing or child health experience preferred • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills • A compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach • Ability to pass required background checks, medical exams, and maintain vaccination requirements • Valid Illinois driver’s license & insurance If you’re ready to bring your skills and heart to a team that treats every child like family — we’d love to meet you.
