Summary We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Op/ Pacu Registered Nurse to join our team at the Retinal Ambulatory Surgery Center of NY. Located in New York, this role is vital in delivering high-quality nursing care to our patients undergoing eye procedures, contributing to our mission of excellence in healthcare. Ideal Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year Experience. Preferably with Ophthalmic Procedures. Preferably with a background in ambulatory surgery center setting. Trained and Knowledgeable Staff to work with. Responsibilities and Duties • Work closely with surgical team including physicians, scrub technicians, and surgical support staff to ensure best practices; • Adhere to our standard of patient care in all clinical activities; • Promote a supportive and team-oriented environment; • Work under direction of Nurse Leader. • Checking vitals for patients. • Reviewing the Health & Physical, EKG, Labs. • Providing discharge instructions to the patients. • Administering ophthalmic drops to patients. Qualifications and Skills • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State. • Experience in ophthalmology or surgical nursing preferred. • Strong critical care experience is highly desirable. • Proficient in IV infusion techniques and medication administration. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus. • ACLS & BLS Certification Required If you are passionate about making a difference in patients' lives through exceptional nursing care, we invite you to apply today and join our dedicated team at the Retinal Ambulatory Surgery Center of NY!
