Registered Nurse (RN) - West LA/Sherman Oaks

Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Specialty: Allergy & Immunology Latitude Food Allergy Care is the leading network of clinics providing life-changing testing and treatment, including oral immunotherapy (OIT). Latitude was founded in 2018 by food allergy parents in partnership with world-renowned researchers to provide an exceptional patient experience specifically designed for the needs of food allergy patients. Led by board-certified allergists, Latitude has provided evidence-based solutions to more than 7,000 patients with single and multiple food allergies. Latitude currently has 4 clinics in the San Francisco Bay Area, 3 in the New York City area, and 1 clinic in the Los Angeles area. We are looking for team members who are passionate about changing the lives of food allergy families. Responsibilities and Duties • Obtaining vital signs, placing allergy skin tests, administering injections, overseeing oral food challenges, preparing oral immunotherapy doses, assisting with emergency care, and providing patient education • Performing blood draws for both pediatric and adult patients • Proactive patient care including monitoring and responding to patient calls, messages, dose management, and EMR messages • Administrative responsibilities include ordering labs, obtaining insurance approvals, scheduling, data entry, ordering medications and restocking clinical supplies • After hours emergency patient hot-line management (on rotation) Requirements • Active California RN license; preferred > 1 year of clinical practice • BLS/CPR certification obtained within 30 days of hire • Phlebotomy certification or experience with pediatric blood draws • Background with Pediatrics and/or Allergy/Immunology Qualities • Personable and professional, especially with pediatric patients and their parents • Organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently • Positive approach reflected in both patient and team communication • Personal initiative, self-motivation, hands-on style and strong work ethic Latitude Food Allergy Care is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all applicants from every background and life experience.
