Registered Respiratory Therapist – Hire on Incentive Eligible

Location: Summa Health Akron City Hospital – 525 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44304

Summa Health is seeking Registered Respiratory Therapists for permanent placement at their Akron City Hospital.

Job Description: Administers a variety of Respiratory Therapy modalities and interventions to patients according to physician order and/or hospital approved policies and protocols based on evidenced based research, guidelines, and algorithms.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists (Registry eligible)
• Valid Ohio license (RCP) to practice Respiratory Care, granted by the State Medical Board of Ohio
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) & obtain RRT within 120 days of employment (start date)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
•  Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Position Details:

• 3^rd shift
• 36 hours per week / 12 hour shifts
• Salary Range: $33.08/hr - $39.70/hr
• $5.00/hr shift differential
• Hire on incentive eligible. $10,000 for RRT’S with 1+ years’ experience or $6,000 for RRT’s with less than 1 year experience. Hire on incentive is for a 2-year commitment
