Job Description
The Registration Specialist confers with Gowan functions across the Company and determines how to best register and maintain pesticide registrations for products in their portfolio to meet their needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute registration of conventional or bio-rational pesticides within his/her assigned portfolio. This includes complying with new standards, routine label writing and maintenance as well as label expansion by adding crops or use patterns. Conduct necessary follow-up to ensure expedient review and approval of the registration in the minimum required time.
- Evaluates manufacturing and labeling changes, and promotional materials for regulatory impact and to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Accurately describes these changes for ease of regulatory agency review.
- Facilitate favorable regulatory outcomes through establishing appropriate internal and external meetings, communicating with regulatory scientists and other functions on appropriate data generation and labeling.
- Serve as liaison between product managers, country distributors, regional executives, registration mangers, regulatory personnel/consultants and Gowan employees.
- Continually assess opportunities and challenges by reviewing all electronic and hard copy history for each product and elevate findings as needed.
- Review regulatory agency publications to manage accuracy, timeliness, comprehensiveness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate regulatory information across the company and help them interpret the commercial implications.
- Represent the company in regulatory agency or industry meetings.
- Take on additional regulatory related tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by his/hers supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with Gowan Company and Regulatory Agencies records retention policies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A bachelorโs degree or above.
- Excellent written English skills.
- Work experience demonstrating that the candidate is a self-starter with analytical, organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to interact with regulatory agencies.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization and external to the organization.
- Keen sense of urgency.
- Advanced level PC skills.
